About Bill Devlin
Bill Devlin (comedian, actor and writer) was born and raised in St. Paul Minnesota. The youngest of eight children in an Irish Catholic community, serves as fodder in a good deal of Devlin's reservoir of comedy.In addition to touring around the country, Bill has also performed stand up comedy at all the major comedy clubs in Southern California. He appears, hosts and produces shows regularly at the world famous Hollywood Improv Comedy Club and The Jon Lovitz Comedy Club. Devlin's long running Comedy & Cocktails with Bill Devlin show has featured comedy greats Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, Margaret Cho and Drew Carey just to name a few.Hollywood took notice when Devlin performed nine one-hour comedy shows in a two day period at a maximum-security prison. He wrote a first person story of the experience, exclusive to the Los Angeles Times, which was featured on the front page of the calendar section. This got Devlin his first major feature film development deal.His unique comedy style is routinely written about in the Irish Herald, The Irish News and The Irish American Post. Did I mention he's Irish? Devlin has also been profiled on NBC's Today in LA and on National Public Radio.He was commissioned to produce, write and host (before a live studio audience) his own TV talk/variety show The Un-Invited Guests with Bill Devlin; which starred comedy legend Dom Deluise.As an actor, Devlin has been in dozens of television commercials and has starred in several independent feature films including (Blood Predator, The God Complex)and the cult hit Rectuma; which screened at the Cannes film festival.He has worked with such film veterans as Faye Dunaway (Chinatown, Bonnie & Clyde), Sean Young (Blade Runner) and Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters).Devlin performed improv & sketch comedy for many years and trained with the father of improvisation himself, Del Close. He is also an accomplished professional photographer and percussionist.
