Burtis Cutler is a Charismatic Sharp Witted Blue Collar Actor & Writer. After a long career serving in the US Navy, Burtis began his venture into "The Biz" in 2014. He has trained at The Groundlings, Upright Citizens Brigade, 2nd City, & Improv Olympic. Burtis is known as a fearless method actor who gives his heart and soul into every role, from a rough & tumble cowboy biker, to a gentle loving father, to a crooked businessman, & everything in between, Burtis brings it. Burtis has gained a reputation as being very humorous, easy going, and fun to work with, taking direction exceptionally well, being one of the first actors to arrive on set, and one of the last to leave, always looking for someone to rehearse with in quest for perfection once the cameras start rolling. On a personal front, Burtis is a anti-animal abuse activist who readily admits to loving his dogs "more than any human" , and "no lower form of life on this planet than that of an animal abuser". Burtis Cutler, known in the Hollywood Biz simply as "Burtis", is a highly charismatic Actor & Writer. known for the Indie Film "Canners" (2020) " Good Guy With A Gun" (2020), "My Declaration" (2019) "American Zealot" (2019), " Two Selves" (2019) "Capones Kid" (2019), "Forgotten" (2018) "Happy Hunting" (2017) & "HollyWeed" (2017) ... In 2017 Burtis was a cast member of the award nominated 'Grapes -The Mocu-mentary" shown at the Los Angeles 48 HR. Film Festival Awards held at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Burtis has been a long time student at both The Groundlings studying short form improv, where he credits Groundlings Instructor Navaris Darsen, as being his inspiration to never quit pursuing his Hollywood dreams, & at Upright Citizens Brigade, (UCB), studying long form improv.. During this time Burtis has auditioned for & performed in many student films, USC, UCLA, Loyola Marymount, CSUN, & New York Film Academy to name but a few. He has also appeared in Music Video's by Artists Carrie Layne, & Maxim Ludwig's Santa Fe 7 Band. Burtis has developed a reputation as being a fearless Character Actor, willing to go well outside of his comfort zone to bring the character to life. He is also known for his affinity to rehearse.. When the camera is not rolling, he can usually be found rehearsing with his scene partners As a person, Burtis is known for having a laid back, calm, cool, & focused demeanor, while displaying razor sharp humor along with lightning fast wit.
