Carlie Young was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. She knew she wanted to pursue a career in acting when she began taking acting classes at the Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts, a charter high school based in Sugar House, Utah. She continued her actor training at Westminster College where she earned a BFA in Theatre Performance in the Spring of 2016. Since graduating, she has performed with Pinnacle Acting Company, Sting and Honey Productions, The Grand Theatre Company, Pygmalion Productions, and others.
