About Chris Cafero
Chris was born and raised in Norwalk, Connecticut. He began acting as a teenager, honing his skills at Brien McMahon High School and the Theater Artists Workshop in Norwalk. In 2006, Chris enrolled at the George Washington University, where he received theatrical training in scene study, character development, theater history and improvisational comedy. In 2010, Chris graduated with a B.A. in political science, receiving Magna Cum Laude honors. Chris has worked on a variety of different projects. Most notably, he played the recurring role of Dylan on As The World Turns. In film, Chris recently played the lead role of Mike Masi in the feature-length indie film Life in Parallel. In 2013, he appeared as the antagonist Griefer Leader in the new movie Campus Life, directed by Catherine Scorsese and Ken Waddell. Chris has also appeared in numerous television, radio, and print campaigns for McDonalds, Coca Cola, Dunkin Donuts, Macys, Nintendo, Gatorade, Estee Lauder, Schick, BenzaClin, Clearasil and more. He can be seen in the long-running Off-Broadway production of The Awesome 80s Prom, playing the role of star quarterback Blake Williams. Chris currently resides in New York City. Uncle Function can be seen regularly at the Davenport and UCB Theater's in NYC.Chris can also be seen performing stand-up comedy at numerous locations through-out New York City. Past performances include New York Comedy Club, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, and Broadway Comedy Club.He has studied with Joan Rosenfels, Ted Sluberski, Alan Wade, Clayton Fletcher, Susan Terry (voice), the Washington Improv Theater, and the Upright Citizens Brigade.Chris is represented theatrically by Judy Boals, Inc. and commercially by CESD Talent Agency.He is the son of Barbara and Larry Cafero, of Norwalk, CT.
