About Chris Ploetz
Chris Ploetz was born in New York to a military family and has so far, lived in Texas, California, Italy, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia/DC area, and most recently Japan. He was always interested in everything and wanted to do and experience everything he could (legally of course) He played multiple sports in high school including football, wrestling, track and field, swimming as well as various other extracurricular activities such as JROTC, Intramural sports, Journalism, SCUBA, Kayaking, Rock climbing, Triathlons and adventure racing, and of course Drama.Graduating in 2003, Chris would go on to attend Auburn University where he eventually decided to study Anthropology and Archaeology, eventually being offered a part time job working at an archaeological site after eventful field school. Not being content with one degree he decided to pursue another degree simultaneously in Geography where he studied GIS, geomorphology, and climate systems. Excelling at his studies he would go on to earn the coveted David Icenogle award for excellence in geography and receive a research grant to study the impact of hurricane Katrina on the gulf coast and working as a research assistant studying foraminifera in the Bahamas. After graduation Chris took a job as a crime analyst in Montgomery Alabama but it wasn't enough to fulfill all of his creative energies. After a short time he returned to continue his graduate studies at the University of Georgia (UGA). Here he worked towards his MS in Geography, studying the paleo-climate changes over the last 80k years in the southern hemisphere.After a brief stint working as an intelligence analyst at the National Geo-spatial intelligence agency he decided to pursue something where he could engage with people more directly, Japan to teach English with the JET program. In the last year of the program he heard about an opportunity to audition for a small part in a big budget Japanese movie known called Rouroni Kenshin . He booked it and it gave him the confidence he needed pursue acting and has been doing so ever since. His resume is slowly building and earned his SAG eligibility....
