Chris lived in Brazil for a few years during his childhood, moved to California where he spent his adolescence, and received his Bachelor of Arts in Theater from the University of Georgia. Chris spent 15 years as a cardiac ICU nurse (at Baptist and then at Memorial Hospital Systems) before changing career paths in 2009 and co-founding and managing Green Realty Properties. Chris made his film debut in 1994 in the comedy called Tropical Tease (1994). This was followed by the thriller The Naked Eye (1995) the following year. Chris returned to acting 11 years later in a comedy The Search (2006).
