About Dawn Long
Dawn Long's rearing exposed her to the arts and the outdoors. She grew up horseback, in the woods, in a dance studio and teaching runway modeling. She is silly and sophisticated, classy and rugged. Boldness, passion, sensitivity, integrity, encouragement, honesty and love are her strong points.Dawn pursued acting after an extraordinary and unexpected experience as a background performer on a major feature film starring Dennis Quaid that undeniably lit a fire in her. She was very grateful when the cast and crew invited her to join them on their day off; she felt completely at home on set and in the realm of creating stories. Dawn realized that the only book she kept from college was from an acting class and threw herself passionately into acting, taking classes, working on numerous commercials (local and regional), as well as student and short films. Eventually, she was cast in leading and strong supporting roles in features. Her characters range from intense and complex to sweet and endearing. Dawn is driven to keep growing her talent and her career. She strongly values collaboration and community to co create powerful and meaningful work.Dawn's vision as an actress is to provide the audience opportunity to be changed for the better: taking them to new places, experiences and revelations, providing fun and relaxation, challenging and inspiring them to higher levels and/or edifying the strengths already within them. One of her favorite film characters is Wonder Woman! Dawn sees all people as valuable and that many are seeking more truth, encouragement, joy and hope, which she can help bring to people's lives through her characters.She hikes mountains on a regular basis, stays physically fit, has strong equestrian skills, and participates regularly in cross-country skiing, fishing, archery, and other outdoor activities. Of her greatest pleasures, is sharing time and recreation with her family. Her faith in the Lord keeps her grounded, inspired and in awe....
