He graduated from The University of Maine with a B.A in communications, minor in Dance and Theater and also played linebacker for the university football team. Derek is very close with his parents Jonathan and Marilyn Pratt, his two older brothers, Jon and Jay, his sister in law Kaicia and his four nieces, Peyton, Kyla, Kamryn and Piper. Derek is currently living in Los Angeles with his girlfriend Harley and two dogs Teddy and Mya.
