An actor since the age of 14, Devon Gummersall is best known for his work on My So-Called Life (1994) Devon grew up in a creative household that supported his interest in acting. Born in Durango, Colorado, he spent part of his developing years in Northern California before settling in the Los Angeles area. The son of visual artist C. Born in Durango, Colorado, Devon Gummersall grew up in Los Angeles and followed his father's footsteps (abstract painter C. Gregory Gummersall) into the arts. He began his career at the age of 14 playing "Brian Krakow" on the highly-acclaimed ABC series "My So-Called Life" with Claire Danes. Intrigued by visual storytelling, Devon quickly began his journey to the other side of the camera. In addition to his acting work in film and television, Devon worked on staff and penned several episodes of Marshall Herskovitz and Ed Zwick's Internet/NBC series "quarterlife". He filmed, edited, and directed the music documentary "Lawn Chairs and Living Rooms" and directed the award-winning short films "Bullies On Vacation" and "PORK...a short film". Devon wrote and directed the indie drama/comedy "Low Fidelity" (released by Amplify in 2013) and directed the indie thriller "Stranger In The House" starring Nathan Darrow (House of Cards) and Annabella Sciorra. In addition to his film work Devon co-founded the LA based theater ensemble The Piece Project and directed the West Coast premiere of Bekah Brunstetter's "Drunk" for the IAMA theater company.
