Eddie Ruiz is an award nominated actor and multi winning producer who was born and raised in Boyle Heights, California, near downtown Los Angeles. He quickly landed a guest-star on "That's So Raven" which Fred Savage directed. He attended C.S.U.,Fullerton where he received hi B.A. in Acting. He flew overseas to London, UK where he received his MFA in Acting from The Central School of Speech and Drama. Some grads from CSSD include Sir Laurence Olivier, Gael Garcia Bernal and Judy Dench.After his return, there has been a lot of love for Eddie in the industry. He made his film debut in the award winning film, "Russel Fish: The Sausage and Egg Incident" starring alongside GLEE's Chris Colfer(Kurt). Eddie was nominated for Best supporting actor in Russel. After landing several TV guest roles, he booked Michael Patrick King's NBC/WB Pilot as Juan in A Mann's World starring Don Johnson.Eddie also stars in films such as "Make A Movie Like Spike" appears alongside Jamil Walker Smith(Stargate, Hey Arnold), Malcolm Goodwin(Breakout Kings), "Ghostown" alongside Jack Guzman(Power Rangers), The Missing Link, Heavy Metal Strawberry Pickers, and Neighborhood Garden.Eddie is no stranger to the stage. He has worked with many respectable theatre companies such as Will & Company where he was Pinocchio in Pinocchio, playing Verges in Tony Plana's Much Ado About Nothing with East LA Classic, and Martinez in Ray Bradbury's The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit with the Pandemonium Theatre Company. Eddie Ruiz grew up in Boyle Heights, CA and has been working both on screen and on stage since leaving college sports in order to pursue an acting career. After completing his BA in Acting from Cal State Fullerton, he went on to achieve an MFA from The Central School of Speech & Drama in London, UK.Eddie has been seen on Disney's That's So Raven as 'Barry: The Mascot' directed by Fred Savage and in Trebuchets Film's award wining comedy as 'Jorge' in Russell Fish. Eddie was nominated as Best Supporting Actor and starred alongside Chris Colfer (Glee).With all the buzz about his comedy chops, Eddie was then offered parts in Zula Ent.'s thriller Trapped in 5150, where he played alongside Noel G (Bruce Almighty, Training Day), The Show Must Go On's comedy Heavy Metal Strawberry Pickers, and Passyunks Projects' award winning web-series The Big D%@k Mike Show.Eddie can also be seen in Plus Entertainment's drama Ghostown as 'Marcos'; Joe Bauer's action-thriller film Ambush alongside an amazing cast which included Lance Henrickson (The Terminator, Aliens), Yvette Yates(El Gringo), and Richard Eden(Robocop); and Little Plow Film's The American Dream where he starred alongside Jamil Walker Smith(Hey Arnold, Stargate) and Malcolm Goodwin (Breakout Kings, Leatherheads).Eddie went on to play 'Juan' on WB/NBC & Michael Patrick King's pilot A Mann's World after being discovered by casting director Randi Hiller. The amazing cast included Don Johnson, Mario Cantone, Ellen Barkin, and Sandra Vergara who played his love interest. Later that year, Eddie joined the Power 106 radio team as an on-air personality 'Eddie: The Intern' on Big Boy's Neighborhood.
