She fell in love with the stage at the age of 3 as a ballet dancer performing in the Nutcracker. Elissa continued on to perform all throughout her younger years into high school in Summer theater and Regional theater. Granting her a scholarship into college at NYU Tisch school of the Arts at the Lee Strasberg Institute. Elissa booked a lead role in a feature film with director Darren Stein (Jawbreaker), so she took a leave of absence from college and continued to study at the New Actors Workshop with Mike Nichols, Paul Sills and George Morrison. Two years later Elissa started her own theater company and started producing her own theater on Theater Row. She continues to produce awarded theater and film. Feature film "In The Moon's Shadow", which she stars in and produces, is now in distribution with Green Apple Entertainment. Elissa is a proud member of New York Women of Film and Television.
