About Jay Plyburn
Born and raised in West Virginia, Jay Plyburn has always had a passion for the Arts with a desire to work in the entertainment industry. He was raised on a stage - taking part in countless musical theatre productions at church, school and within the local community. Jay chose to get a degree in Broadcast Journalism, so he could work in front of the camera while also honing his storytelling skills. Upon graduating from Marshall University in 2007, Jay started a career in television news. He quickly rose through the ranks to the position of Morning News Anchor - a title which he held for more than three years in Northwest Arkansas, before shifting his attention to filmmaking. In addition to acting, Jay is also producing a variety of projects, and he recently jumped back into the role of Morning News Anchor for the ABC affiliate in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In his free time, Jay paints, writes poetry, and looks for new creative outlets....
