Jay Simon is a UK born actor now residing in New Zealand.Born in London with a Polish/German father and an English/ Welsh mother Jay has played many nationalities on film and Television including English, French, German, Dutch, Russian, American and Canadian.His first UK lead television role was in a Restoration era film in Channel Four's acclaimed series of Operas in 'Good Friday 1663'. (Directed by Frank Cvitanovitch) Other UK TV appearances include : 'My Family', 'Highlander', 'Holby City', 'Casualty', 'Eastenders', 'The Bill', 'Bernard's Watch', 'Barbara', 'Goodnight Sweetheart', 'The Knock', 'Murder in Suburbia' and 'Fur TV'.Jay notably appeared in the Bafta Award winning series 'Perfect Strangers', (Directed by Steven Poliakoff), as Lionel Symon .UK movie roles include : the Jack Higgins' thriller 'Midnight Man', (Directed by Lawrence Gordon-Clarke) 'The Empty Mirror', 'The Wedding Date', 'Heavy Duty' and 'Daybreak'.In 2012 Jay moved to New Zealand and has appeared in several NZ and international TV shows: 'Shortland Street', 'The Guy and Harley Show', 'Filthy Rich', 'Roman Empire 3' and 'Straight Forward'.New Zealand movies include: 'ARA' , 'Older', 'Clear Eyes-Rise of the Zombies' and 'Bombshell: The sinking of the Rainbow Warrior' .Jay is an International Voiceover Artist with his own home recording studio. He has provided TV and Movie characters voices for many popular TV shows including: 'Power Rangers', (3 Seasons), 'Finley the Fire engine' (5 Seasons), 'Big, Big World' (3 Seasons) and 'Molly Monster' (Three Seasons) and the Kiwi animated series 'Quimbo's Quest' .Recent animated feature film voice roles include: 'The Molly Monster Movie' ( Poppa, Captain and Edisson) and various characters in 'Mosley'.Jay has created video game characters for hit games including : 'Haze', 'Jericho' 'The Witcher' 'Spartan: Total Warrior' ,'Path of Exile' , 'We happy Few' and 'Shing'...Jay spends his spare time with his wife Nikki, three children and pet Border Collie dog Becky at home in Wanaka NZ....
