Jazmin Victoria Garcia- Larracuente is the definition of a triple threat. The Orlando-born writer, actress, and producer is telling stories from the heart to inspire people from all walks of life. "When people read or watch my work I want them to feel like they are experiencing something grounded in real life. I want them to relate and be inspired, not just entertained."Since grade school, Jazmin has had a passion for telling stories. She grew up writing poetry, short stories, and scripts before going to school at the University of Central Florida to pursue a degree in political science with the hopes of being a lawyer. "The arts were just taboo where I grew up, I didn't think I could make a career out of storytelling." Jazmin now credits her remarkable research and structure abilities to her political science degree that she completed remotely in May of 2020.After moving to LA in 2016, Jazmin worked alongside Executive Producer Mandy Teefey as a development associate. This role sparked her to pursue more than just acting as she developed a passion for producing and bringing stories together. "I often drift in my head while creating stories. I find gaps, figure out how to fill them, and bring the whole thing full circle."Jazmin recently wrote, produced and starred in her first short film Saturday Morning. She wrote the screenplay to explore another side of love. "The love stories we see on screen are often the passionate, romanticized, fiery stories. I want to show another side of love, the kind that makes you feel safe and grounded because that kind of love is beautiful in its own way."Also in the works, is a feature-length film titled Absence that Jazmin co-wrote with Jacob Johnston (Marvel). The upcoming thriller will launch Jazmin's production company that she is starting alongside her husband Brandon Larracuente. The company will focus on thrillers as well as diversity in the cast and crew. As a proud Latina, diversity, and representation are very close to her heart. Growing up with Puerto Rican and Cuban parents, Jazmin wants to advocate for change, representation, and inclusion not just in the cast, but across all levels of crew.Outside of storytelling, Jazmin is an advocate for women's rights. She recently spoke on a panel hosted by Female Quotient and looks forward to using her platform and voice to help women feel empowered. Jazmin has been sharing intimate details of the highs and lows of her life on her blog for years with the goal of helping people feel heard and not alone. Additionally, Jazmin often shares stories and details about her strong faith and connection to a higher power which has been a very important part of her life since she was young. "I am not just tethered to myself, and that grounds me."Jazmin is looking forward to bringing more stories to life through acting, writing, and more. Looking up to her role model Reese Witherspoon she explains, "she can do it all so I feel like I can too."...
