He has parlayed his athletic ability and rugged looks onto numerous sets as a stunt driver, stuntman, stand-in, photo double, stunt double, special ability actor, and background actor. He has now appeared in over 17 films and many television shows as a principal actor. His most recent was Apocalypse Rising portraying Major Lee. Other films and TV shows he has appeared in are: Jurassic World, Fantastic Four, Hot Tub Time Machine 2, True Detective, Escape Plan, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Bonnie and Clyde, Beasts of the Bayou, Starcrossed, Astronaut Wives Club, NCIS New Orleans, Navy Seals vs Zombies and many more. John has mainly portrayed law enforcement or heavies but continues to stretch his acting ability by taking a comedic role in the short film Hopeless: A Star Wars Story. He is dedicated to his craft and supports local and independent films and film makers. He has expanded into writing having written two features and several episodic scripts.
