About Jon Everry
Born to Colombian parents Jon Everry (born Jonathan Echeverry) grew up the youngest of three boys. The Atlanta native was raised in a family comprising of 27 aunts & uncles and countless cousins. This influenced the young Jon to develop his personality. Being among the youngest Jon usually found himself playing alone and creating vast imaginary characters and play scenarios. When Jon was only two his family opened the first of three Mexican restaurants in which Jon could occasionally be found singing with mariachi's and or entertaining guests. At the age of 8 Jon put on his first play for his family at a school event. In Elementary school he would win annual artistic awards given by the principal. Singing in school events and in occasional family reunions also helped him shed his fear of audiences early on. In middle school Jon was rejected from attending the performing arts High School Pebblebrook due to his procrastination and failure to learn lines for a monologue, which he later would discard as a huge waste of time. Jon went on to go to South Cobb High School in Austell, GA where he met his mentor and greatest inspiration Mrs. Carol Fuller. Jon Participated in most every performing arts event at the school, only being halted at times due to bad grades, as well as becoming part of the thespian society. Jon went on to win several awards as well as a best supporting actor for his performance in "Lost in Yonkers" which was performed at the main stage of the thespian conference in front of hundreds of students. After his Graduation in 2002 Jon returned to assist on some of the plays including playing the lead Jean Val Jean in 'Les Miserables". Jon also returned once more to propose to his then girlfriend at the end of the play "100" based on life and death. In 2005 Jonathan joined the people store talent agency and received his first paying role as a grocery store worker on the TBS pilot "welcome to aisle 3". Since then Jonathan has worked countless independent projects, commercials, voice-overs, etc. Jon has even submitted some of his own ideas for production in Colombia South America, where he has a dual citizenship, and in the United States....
