Jordan Rountree is an American actor born in Paris, France. After attending high school in the US and in Japan, he was accepted into the Classe Libre at the Cours Florent acting school in Paris, studying with the Promotion 32 under Jean-Pierre Garnier. During that time he played Hamlet at the Pompidou Center in the multimedia performance "Pourquoi Pas Toi", in "Godless Youth" at the Théâtre de la Bastille. He was then cast in the role of Hal Cooper in Whit Stillman's "The Cosmopolitans". In 2013, Jordan founded the company "Damaetas" with fellow members of the Promotion 32, a fledgling collective and blog that experiments with creating theatrical content for the internet.::Eric Burritt
Jordan Rountree is a transatlantic American actor, singer, and performance artist based in Los Angeles, California. Appearing on the public stage since the age of 11, he got his start acting on the theater boat Péniche Opéra, followed by experimental performances in Parisian nightclubs, museums, and galleries throughout his teenage years. After attending St. Paul's School in the United Sates and Seikei Gakuen in Japan, he was selected to join the Cours Florent's renowned Classe Libre, receiving classical theater training under Jean-Pierre Garnier, Grétel Delattre, Cyril Anrep, and participating in workshops led by Marie Christine Ory and François Orsoni.He has toured Europe, playing lead characters both in national theaters and avant-garde spaces in Paris, Reims, Corsica, Cologne, Munich, and Berlin.Jordan's onstage credits include creating the roles of Rimbaud's Ghost in the world premiere of Terrence Koh's Adansonias at the Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac, and the role of N in the stage adaptation of Ödön Von Horváth's Godless Youth directed by François Orsoni for the Théâtre de la Bastille.Screen credits include the co-lead role of Hal Cooper in Whit Stillman's The Cosmopolitans for Amazon Studios and work with emerging filmmakers and artists such as Jasmin Blasco and Liam Hughes. Jordan has also appeared in music videos and advertisements in Europe and the United States.In 2013, he co-founded Damaetas, a Paris-based theater collective that experiments with producing dramatic content for the internet.
