About Mario Ruiz


Mario M Ruiz is a Latin American Actor, indie singer and songwriter born in New York City Manhattan to Dominican Immigrants Pura Duran and former Latin Ballad singer Marino Ruiz who had slight fame in the mid 1970s to early 80s and signed to the long since defunct Miva records of NYC. At a very young age Mario sang as a soloist, acted in church plays, and was a founding member of a gospel quartet at his local church. At the age of 13 Mario worked at his parents video store in the Dominican Republic Colonial Zone, where they filmed the movie "Havana" with Robert Redford; It was at this time Mario started to have interest in the film industry. Due to life circumstances, Mario started acting a little later in life but at the age of 13 his parents sent him to take videography classes, he then filmed and photographed weddings and birthdays as well as edit them, giving birth to his creativity and imagination....
