About Micaela Nyland
Canadian Actress Micaela Nyland was born in Burnaby, BC in 2003.She started dancing at the age of 3 years old with dreams of becoming a Professional Ballerina. At age 12, Micaela joined an acting camp to aid in her live performances and was instantly hooked and intrigued with film, thus changing her focus. She regularly participates in ongoing Film, TV, Improv and Audition training, as well as continued dance and acrobatics training for agility and endurance for stunt work.Micaela was most recently seen as 'Young Harper' performing many of her own stunts in Season 2 of the Facebook Watch/Blumhouse Productions (now streaming on Peacock TV) anthology show "Sacred Lies: The Singing Bones" starring Juliette Lewis and Ryan Kwanten. Created, Written and Executive Produced by Emmy and Golden Globe Nominee, Raelle Tucker (Jessica Jones/Netflix, True Blood/HBO), Directed and Executive Produced by two-time Emmy Award Winner and Golden Globe Winner, Scott Winant (My So Called Life/ABC, True Blood/HBO, Breaking Bad/AMC) and Executive Produced by Emmy Award Winning Producer, Jason Blum. The show is based on The Brothers Grimm: The Singing Bones, but will also include inspiration from real-life murders.Micaela's first on set experience was December of 2015 during the filming of "Puppet Killer" Directed by Lisa Ovies, starring Aleks Paunovic, Richard Harmon and Lee Majdoub.In fall of 2017, Micaela was recommended and introduced to Nathalie Boltt (Penelope Blossom from "Riverdale" - The CW) and asked to be the feature dancer/choreographer in a music video Nathalie was directing for a Vancouver Indie Band. The video was for their song "Doll of Torture" about a marionette doll controlled by a Puppeteer who in the end sets her free, but at what cost. Micaela was harnessed and performed all stunts with the help of stunt coordinator Kory Grim (Deadpool, The Revenant/20th Century Fox) and the video was a passion project created by several crew members and camera operators from "Riverdale".Micaela appeared as 'Young Angel' in Lifetime Television's "Victoria Gotti: My Father's Daughter" written and narrated by Victoria Gotti herself, starring Chelsea Frei and Maurice Bernard.Micaela has 1 younger sister, loves singing and playing the ukulele, and has a huge love for animals and the outdoors....
