Michael and his younger brother Matthew Zhang first gained notice for his stand-up comedy, having performed material he wrote at the young age of 12 at the world famous Hollywood Improv, leading to a number of dramatic roles in festival short films and a continuing part as a panelist on the Internet series "Fresh Perspectives." Michael got his big break when famed casting directors Sarah Finn and Randi Hiller became fans of his work and recommended him to Joss Whedon (I) for a small supporting role in the summer blockbuster "The Avengers 2012." Soon after, Michael would get the opportunity to act in his first major role in a feature film, "_Space Warriors (2013)_ (I) ," landing the role of 'Bao Yuen' after four auditions and a massive nationwide talent search. His passion for all things Hollywood is also spurring him to explore work behind the camera both editing and filmmaking, and he is currently a Film and Television Production major at the prestigious Loyola Marymount University.
