Mike Hatton will make you laugh... a lot. The actor, comedian, and on-air personality was born in the suburbs of Chicago (Hobart, Indiana) to a sarcastic Irish mother and a goofy Polish father. The combination would take well in the youngest of their four boys.As a child, Mike would often direct and star in improvised short sketches made with a home video camera. In high school, Mike continued his passion for the camera and starred in several school produced videos. He was also the host of the morning announcements.Mike got his professional start in television while in college at Indiana State University. He worked as a cameraman at WTHI-TV in Terre Haute, and would occasionally appear on-camera in light or humorous roles.After graduating, Mike moved to Palm Springs, California to become an advertising sales executive and help launch the desert's first CBS affiliate. Shortly after his arrival, he moved in front of the camera, as the entertainment and features reporter. He was dubbed "Special Correspondent" for his comedic coverage and commentaries.Mike is known for his funny, conversational, and sarcastic style and his ability to insert humorous characters and voices on the fly. While at KPSP, he developed and co-created several local programs. After being raised in the suburbs of Chicago (Hobart, Indiana), Mike Hatton attended Indiana State University where he obtained his bachelors of arts degree in Radio, TV and Film. He worked his way through college as a cameraman / reporter for CBS affiliate WTHI in Terre Haute, Indiana. That's where he was given his first chance to get in front of the camera professionally.Upon graduation, Mike packed his bags for California and moved to Palm Springs to work for the Palm Springs area new CBS affiliate. While working in Palm Springs, he honed his skills in front of the camera and on-stage at the world renowned Second City, a famed sketch and improvisational training center in Hollywood. Since becoming a contributor to Eye on the Desert, he has interviewed the likes of Andy Dick, Kevin Costner, and Ludacris. Mike just finished his first feature film entitled 6:30, which will be hitting video stores this fall.In May, he was named one of the Inland Empire's top 15 hottest people by The Press Enterprise. Mike hopes to become the next host of the Late Show with David Letterman (that is when Dave retires). When he's not busy working for CBS 2, his hobbies include acting, sketch comedy, live music, shopping, fashion, travel, useless trivia, and karaoke....
