About Peppur Chambers

Born in Great Falls, Montana and raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Peppur was destined for great things. At the age of 6, she began dancing and piano lessons. She visited a Renaissance Faire and knew she wanted to be on stage after her first school play. Determined to grow more and learn more about the arts, at the age of 12, she wrote her first play. Her passion blossomed when she studied in New York. A recent transplant to Los Angeles via New York and Chicago, Peppur has seen success as a writer, producer, actor, dancer and singer. As a writer, she's especially proud of her long-running theatrical cabaret, "Harlem's Night: A Cabaret Story" as performed by Brown Betties and Joe which also includes some of her original songs she wrote.Peppur also performs in and produces this sultry, sassy, sophisticated experience through her production company, "Harlem's Night Productions". Peppur is currently working on co-producing her second short film, "Priced Out" (with "Drea's Denial" being her first short, which she wrote, acted in and co-produced) as well as her first full-length stage play, "House Rules". Her other works, "Flapjacks & Orange Juice" and "I See" (both one-acts) have enjoyed readings and staged production, respectively in both New York and Los Angeles.Peppur's non-fiction essay, "Three-Way" appears in Ava Chin's "Split: Stories from a Generation Raised on Divorce". She wrote a book of short stories based on her first two years of living in LA, titled, "Making Lemonade: Bittersweet Tales from an Actress Being Squeezed in LA" (soon to be published).While in Chicago, Ms. Chambers performed for thousands as a World Champion Chicago Bulls dancer and sites this experience as a turning point in making a bee-line ascent toward her dreams. The Kenosha, Wisconsin native is determined to further her career in her LA surroundings....
