Philip D'Amore is an actor, musician (drummer) & artist (any medium; see damoreartistry.com for range of styles)His love for acting emanates from an eclectic Theatre background from his early school years to benefits on Broadway at Lincoln Center & American Airlines theatres, many Repertory productions, Street theatre, Sketch comedy & Improv. He has enjoyed working on every film & tv show that welcomed him including stunt work/performing in Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes as a Red Army Chimp, an unsuccessful policeman's ball Disc Jockey in Reno 911, an undisclosed motion capture project for a major studio, voicing two characters in the lovable animated action film "Little Hero", to filming a role recently in a new HBO project.He is a National award winning drummer & percussionist playing everything from Rock & roll, Fusion, Jazz, 80's Hair band music & much more. From large sold out amphitheaters, to tiny jazz clubs to legendary venues such as The Whiskey. He is most proud of the years spent backing his all time favorite singers: His father (singer) & brother (singer/songwriter/guitarist)Philip has artwork hanging in 17 countries. His primary styles are Line Drawing (having spent 6 years studying Al Hirscfeld's works), Acrylic Paint, Oil Paint, Charcoal, Pencil, Pouring, Live Event painting both Knife, Finger & Throwing, & many others. He has drawings & paintings published in ten books including a line drawing in Norman Reedus' "Thanks For the Niceness", Five Children's books & his Acrylic 3 x 4 foot master piece featured on the cover of legendary sports caster Dick Vitale's "Mount Rushmores of College Basketball" featuring a rendering of college coaches Mike Krzyzewski, Bobby Kinght, Roy Williams & Dean Smith as the famous Mount Rushmore mountain sculpture.
