About Robert Hibbert
Captain Robert N. HibbertThe Jamaican born military man comes from a long line of similar men. His family has served in the military since the 9th Century. At the tender age of four (4), he was exposed to regimented drills, firearms and martial arts and by the age of 15 was a rifle shooting champion in the Jamaica Combined Cadet Force. He was schooled at Jamaica College where on completion and just before his eighteenth birthday he joined the Jamaica Defence Force i.e. the Jamaica Military, as student pilot of fixed wing aircraft, before going off to basic training in Newcastle, Jamaica. A little over a year later he was sent off to the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, England, where he excelled at Military Martial Arts. He was awarded the "Overseas Cane of Honour" for being the Top Overseas Student and the award for being the "Academy Top Shot". He has trained and served with some of the top special teams in the world. Locally he has served in five of the then seven Units in the JDF, to include Force's recruit training officer, infantry officer as well as serving in the coast guard. In addition, he served as a Director in Local Government (National Youth Service) and in the Ministry of National Security (Director, Firearms Licensing Authority). He was also instrumental in the writing of the Firearms Training Manual for Firearms Licensing Authority in Jamaica. He burst onto the silver screen in Storm Saulter and Paul Bucknor's "Better Mus Come" (2010) where he put his skills into action as an associate producer, head of security, stunt coordinator and gun wrangler. For a decade he has proved himself, in major productions like "Knight and Day", "Sprinter" and "Yardie" to name a few, to be the best at his craft. His latest role as Head of Security (Jamaica) for the 25th James Bond Movie: "No time to Die" (2021), has cemented his recognition and accomplishment in the Jamaican Film Industry. Currently, he serves as a Security Consultant in his partnership of Executive Solutions in Jamaica. He also lectures at The Centre for Security, Counter Terrorism and Non-Proliferation at the Caribbean Maritime University (CMU). His training and exposure has led to him become a leading consultant in Jamaica on Executive Protection, Production Security Management and Film Armoury....
