About Via Bia


Raised on the humid asphalt of Long Island by a multi-generational, mixed Puerto Rican/Jewish family, Via is an alumna of screenwriting labs through Sundance, the Stowe Story Labs, and Cine Qua Non (sponsored by AMPAS).Her first film, These Colors Don't Run, was shot on film with the support of Kodak and distributed by HBO, while her latest film, Post Comedy, will premiere in 2022. She is producing La Juana (dir: Anayamel), about the colorful, romantic, and melancholy world of a former cabaret singer, and is co-writer of the absurdist holiday rom-com, Christmas Hangover....
