Zokai Holmes was born Zokai Antoine Holmes in Geneva, Switzerland. His mother Emma Maynard Holmes is American from New York City and worked as the assistant to the Dean of the Law School at the University of Liberia. His Father Aaron James Holmes was a Government Official and was Minister of Lands and Mines. The Youngest of 4 kids, Zokai is the only child that is bilingual in French and English. He attended L' École Française de Libéria and went to summer camp at La Garenne International School in Villars-sur-Ollons, Switzerland.A Coup in 1980 forced Zokai's mother to take he and his sister and flee Liberia. His father stayed behind in hiding and joined the family 2 yrs later in South San Francisco, California.Zokai was an all around athlete in high school playing Football, Basketball and track. He played 2 yrs of Football at the College of San Mateo where he started at wide receiver. He majored in Aeronautics and later changed it to French after finding out he would not be able to fly in the military with corrective vision.Zokai was introduced to modeling when he took his girlfriend to a photo shoot and the photographer asked if he could shoot him as well. It was at an Agency Christmas party he attended with a friend that Zokai was introduced to the head of the Men's board. He was asked where he saw himself in 6 months and Zokai responded " I will be going to school in Paris". He signed with Stars Agency, San Francisco and Best One, Paris. He spent 4 yrs modeling around the world. He was rep'd by Goodfellas London, Close London, Fashion Milan, Ice Models South Africa and Elite Chicago.It was after returning from Paris that Zokai took his first acting class at Foothill College, Los Altos Hills, California. Zokai booked the first audition he went on for a Citibank National commercial. After returning from Milan, Zokai decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. He has studied with Howard Fine, Scott Sedita, Margie Haber, Michael Monks, and at Improv Olympics Los Angeles....
